My name is Samir Khamis Amour Khamis Al-Busaidy. If you read my business card, it just reads "Samir Al-Busaidy" even that is hard for many to say and that's why they only call me Samir, Sammy or Sam.
Happily married to a lovely wife from Batson Texas (you probably never heard of it, but it sure exists and don't ask me how in the world did I meet some one from little Batson when I was half ways around the world - ICQ- Internet Chat :). Both of us work, our passion is computers, I sell cars as you know and she's an IT person... kids? hmmm on the way, not in a hurry... we need all our 4 feet strongly on the ground first so we can be responsible when responsibility comes along. I love kids though :). I got cousins by dozens and so I am many times over an uncle. Got niece's and nephew's in herds!!!
In January of 2002 if you had asked me if I would ever sell cars I would have said 'No Way!'. But here I am well over two years of car sales and a Gold Award in Council of Sales Leadership - Sales Professionalism.
But why not (sell cars)? You would ask, and the honest truth would be 'Because I have no idea about cars and engines. I do not care to know either. To me all cars look alike and as long as a car can get me from point A to point B, then it is a good car, I do not care about the looks or the company that makes it.' I could not differentiate between a Toyota, a Honda or a Mazda or any thing for that matter. I would say 'your friend came to visit you'.. the question that follows always is 'which one?' I would say the tall or the short or the one that was here the other day... the question that would come up again would be 'which one' or 'what did they drive?' and I would answer 'a blue car'.. hmm '2 doors'.. go figure!! Was not my job to think about all those things that did not matter.
Over six years into Honda car sales now ask me about cars again and you probably would get an answer that makes sense the very first time and a little bit more. My wife is tired of me trying to sell her the Honda Accord in my sleep... yes! I sell cars in my sleep too.
